Rupert Day MSc BA
Rupert is a consultant with the charity Farm Africa, where he works on stimulating income- generating activities to help communities become more self-sufficient, primarily through agriculture. His work includes the evaluation of previous projects, in particular whether the money spent has been effective at improving livelihoods. He spent three years as country lead for an AIM listed cocoa/coffee exporting company headquartered in Eastern Sierra Leone.
Rupert’s areas of interest focus mainly on smallholder agriculture, with themes such as private sector engagement, improving access to markets, and strategies to disseminate best practice methods. He has worked in Sierra Leone, Guinea, Senegal, Kenya, Ethiopia.
Rupert studied International Relations at Keele University before completing an MSc in International Rural Development at the Royal Agricultural College, Cirencester.
